Service Description

Join us for one day each month from July-November out at Fertile Ground Farm, located on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee and Attawandaron peoples. This Introduction to Herbalism program is for those who want to connect with the plants in a way that remembers and honours our ancestral relations with them. We will be learning practical skills for working with herbs as medicine, right out in the garden with the plants themselves. Each month will focus on connecting with a few specific medicinal plants, learning who they are and how they grow. We will learn to harvest these herbs together, respectfully, and each participant will be able to go home with some for their personal use. Each month we will also focus on a specific remedy-making technique, learning safe and effective ways to work with each plant. You will also go home with a home-made remedy each month (all supplies and ingredients provided). This program is intended to stock your medicine cabinets with herbs and remedies that you've gotten to know and feel comfortable working with. This is a small-group program, so space is limited and we expect seats to fill quickly. We ask that you pay for the full program upfront if you are able. We also offer monthly payments for those who would prefer this option. As well, there is a sliding scale for those who need it (please reach out to find out about payment options nikola@halfmoonherbals.com). No one is turned away due to cost. BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+ are most welcome. We look forward to gathering with you!
